The Many Faces of VJJA
VJJA's Members is what makes it a great association! With a roster of over
1000, our membership is comprised of juvenile justice professionals representing court/probation services, the judiciary,
indigent defense, juvenile correctional centers, detention homes, wilderness academies, childrens' psychiatric hospitals,
group homes, offices on youth, therapeutic foster care organizations, community-based mental health organizations, public
schools, departments of social services and more. They are line workers, supervisors, administrators/managers.
They are educators, researchers, policy makers, intake officers, correctional officers, school resource officers, residential
counselors, sex offender therapists, mentors, behavioral interventionists, social workers and probation officers. With
a membership that diverse, the opportunities for learning and networking are endless. Our members come from vastly different
work settings and positions, but what unites them is their shared passion for working with troubled teens!
