I once hoped to have something profound and memorable to say on my last day at work, but it comes down to something
very simple: I have been one lucky guy these past 33 1/2 years
to have looked forward to going to work most mornings,
have rewarding professional and social relationships with
so many great people, and now be able to grab the brass ring
of retirement. This is a fantastic Department because of all
of you doing excellent work in a very important (even if
underappreciated) job. Keep it up!!
