SUPPORT PERSON OF THE YEAR

Madeline Wells

Wells Selected DJJ Administrative Support Person of the Year

Blue Ridge District member Madaline Wells has been honored with the Department of Juvenile Justice’s Administrative Support Person of the Year Award.  Ms. Wells has been employed as the Senior Secretary for the 21st District Court Service Unit (Martinsville) since January 2003. In her role as Senior Secretary, she often encounters clients in various levels of crisis, assessing their needs and directing them to the most appropriate services. When clients need assistance regardless of the situation, Ms. Wells is said to approach each client in a caring and professional manner that conveys her desire to help.  Because of her calm and caring demeanor, she has helped clients alleviate fears associated with visiting the courthouse for official business.  Ms. Wells is a valued member of the 21st CSU team and has earned the respect and appreciation of her co-workers and the Martinsville community with her professionalism and commitment to the mission of her agency.
